Gretchen Carney, OTR/L, MS, CHT
Gretchen became part of Orthopedic Care Specialists Occupational Therapy team in 2006 after earning her masters in Occupational Therapy from Tufts University in 2005. Gretchen has done clinical rotations in inpatient therapy at New England Sinai as well as Rhode Island Hand & Orthopedics. She began working for OCS shortly after receiving her license. She focus’ her practice on the hand and upper extremity, providing one-on-one, personalized rehabilitation and custom splinting.
Gretchen became a Certified Hand Therapist in 2011. She is a member of National Board for Certification of Occupational Therapy (NBCOT), the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) and the American Society of Hand Therapists (ASHT). Gretchen enjoys providing care for a variety of injuries and finds great reward in helping her patients return to normal function. She remains diligent with staying up to date on effective treatments and modalities through continuing education courses focusing specifically on rehabilitation of the hand and upper extremity.
In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, cooking, working out and kickboxing.
